Not just another pretty face, this bass has a lot going for it. I'm not one to go into a sales pitch but this really is the most focused Stingray that I've had in a very long time, There's just an openness and clarity to the traditional Stingray tone and I feel it is worth noting here. Everything looks great from the semi-matte finish, black hardware, cool pickguard and of course the ebony fretboard. I really think the ebony is the reason that elevates the tone a few notches. The only fault I could find is a small edge on the edge (hardly visible) chip filled in with black lacquer. The coup-de-grace is the under 9 lb weight, almost unheard of in a Music Man bass! So you get tone and comfort so what more could you ask of a Stingray? Oh yeah, includes the OHSC.
